Grilled; Big, Bad, Bold Bistro Burgers.

These burgers were so good that I cried. Well, I didn't, but my 4 year old did (regarding an entirely unrelated matter). Regardless, these suckers were tasty. I used organic ground beef, and mixed in onions, scallions, garlic, beer, salt, pepper, and worcester sauce. I grilled some toppings and sides too. We had prosciutto, a yellow pepper and and onion melange, and asparagus brushed with an herbed lemon and garlic butter. Our burger buns were brushed with garlic butter and grilled as well. When the smoke cleared all you could see was a big, tall juice drippin' monstrosity of a burger that went something like this; Toasted garlic bun with mayo, robustly flavored burger topped with melted morel and leek jack cheese, crispy prosciutto, grilled onions and yellow peppers, and thin sliced tomatoes and arugula. Brat Night; Sara Style, Taking a Classic and Making it Mine.

These are Tomato Basil Brats, We grilled them alongside barbecue brushed pineapple slices, thick cut beets, onions, sauerkraut and zucchini and served them atop thick cut country white bread (brushed with olive oil and 1,000 island dressing) from Batch Bakery. My beets and onions were marinated in red wine, vinegar, olive oil and garlic, and the zucchini was brushed with the marinade as it was grilled. I poured beer on the brats while they cooked. Why you ask? Because I'm bad.

























Fire It Up; Grillin' Season Is Here

There is nothing more manly than standing before a hot grill, manhandling a long metal spatula and dousing ones inner fire with cold suds. Pizza.

















You would have to try really hard to find someone who didn't love pizza as it is a rare disorder that few are burdened with. Pizza is awesome. It's even better when you keep the oven hot all night, invite guests and make it a pizza party. We tried several combinations of topping throughout the evening, but I think my favorite was the goat cheese and vegetable pizza. I am doing this again.
